WHY REGISTER WITH THE TMJA?
The TMJ Association (TMJA) is the leading national resource for information on TMJ diseases and disorders. Since its inception The TMJA has worked to raise awareness of TMJ problems, expand research, and develop safe and effective treatments. We are proud to say that our efforts are at last paying off. For the first time Congress is requiring five institutes of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to conduct TMJ-related research. The NIH supported our May 2002, 2004, & 2006 international TMJ science conferences. The media has learned to turn to us for information they report to the public. Over the last several years The TMJA was cited in the following news articles and television shows:
- Proto - Massachusetts General Hospital Dispatches from the Frontiers of Medicine, "The Body Pain" - Spring 2007

WHAT OUR VISITORS ARE SAYING...
"I have recently been diagnosed with TMJ. This site is brilliant as it explains the condition clearly and aims to make the condition better known which is very important. I also think the research work you do is phenomenal. There should be more sites like this". Emma (United Kingdom)
Thanks for a fantastic Web site - the beginning of my self-education on a topic that no one around me seems to be able to help with. I breathed a sigh of relief. It means so much that finally I found people that take this seriously, because I'm sick of the pain! Your Web site has renewed my enthusiasm for finding myself the best possible treatment. Thanks! Stacey (MA, USA)
"A great resource. In Australia there is so little information for TMJ sufferers". Georgia (Australia)
"It was helpful to me to come across your Web site. I have suffered from TMJ for the past ten years. It is a lonely and painful condition. It is nice to know that there are people in the world who understand. Thank you". Roberta (CA, USA)
"I was so grateful to have consulted The TMJ Association's Web site before I went to the doctor. The information you provide here was extremely helpful to me in communicating with my physician. I was able to ask informed questions and understand his explanations about potential treatment options. I was also made aware of the problems with insurance coverage and worked out a deal with my company in advance to allow coverage through proper diagnosis. Even though they won't pay for treatment, I will have the most accurate and detailed diagnosis available. So thank you for your help in all of this." Sharon (PA, USA)
